And they're not alone in singing the praises of the Evolution VR systems. Awards and rave reviews have poured in from across the globe.
The new D3 speakers might be the starting point of diamonds coaxial and component range, but they are anything but entry level. They start with the same high density proprietary composite ABS frame found in our D6 convertible systems, add a butyl rubber surround and a graphite injected polypropylene cone and you have the makings of a very good driver. Whether choosing a component or a coaxial system all D3 speakers utilize 1” aluminum dome tweeters.
The D6 speakers bass unit uses a butyl rubber surround attached to the same hard-anodized alloy cone that is found on our D6 subwoofers. This cone is lightweight and has the strength needed for tight, accurate midbass and smooth overall response. The frame is made of a high density proprietary composite ABS and is very rigid.
These systems have the unique ability to be used as either a component or a coaxial speaker.
The HEX series speakers are the result of endless testing by trial and error. What makes these speakers special is the ultra lightweight and incredibly stiff HEX cone. These cones are a composite sandwich in which thin layers of bulletproof Kevlar are thermally bonded to a flameproof NOMEX honeycomb core. The result is cone that is 70 times stiffer, yet 70% lighter than conventional poly or paper cones.
